Within the last couple months, Snapchat users have received a new friend, known as your Snapchat AI. You can do whatever you wish with your AI.

You can chat with them, change their outfit, and even change their name. But what is Snapchat AI, you may ask? Well, an AI is an artificial intelligence that was created to help people with simple online tasks.

Similar to Alexa or Siri, AI will give you an answer to an online question. Unlike Alexa and Siri which give you a short answer, AI can write you paragraphs and essays on your desired topic. So AI is basically a faster way to cheat on your work, right?

Believe me it is not that easy. When you ask AI a question, for example, “Can you write me a five hundred word essay about eagles?” A code is generated within your comment, so a university or college administrator can find out you plagiarized an assignment much faster. There are also popular apps that teachers use constantly that can easily identify if you are cheating.

As a student, something you should always be doing when searching for knowledge for an assignment, is fact checking your websites. A couple ways to easily fact check your website include, checking the date, if the article or story was produced more than 30 years ago, is it really reliable? Also, doing a quick back check on the writer. When did they write this?

Why did they write this(maybe to defend their own product or to influence you into a political view)? And lastly, is the knowledge believable or far-fetched?

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
