Mr. Weston, its time for you to speak out loud and clear that while you too would probably love a couple of months off, you were in fact hired to represent and be part of a functioning democracy.
Your party leader - Prime Minister Stephen Harper - may be a "master strategist," but as surely you know, political strategy can quite easily clash with the basic tenets of our society.
What of the never-ending delay of climate change policy in Canada? What of Colvin's reports of torture at the hands of Canadians in Afghanistan?
If you and the rest of the MPs are not there to debate bills and hold the current government accountable, what kind of a system do we have?
If your leader gets away with this latest stunt, where do you think this road will lead, Mr. Weston?
Please do your duty and protest this latest prorogation of Parliament.
