First off, we volunteer in many sports, including alpine, Nordic and sliding events. Our residents are in key positions timing, marking, sidestepping, and securing elements of the competitions. We can also be found directing traffic, passing out information, hosting, driving and serving athletes and other volunteers and visitors.
Many are opening their homes to visitors and volunteers from all over the world. Our residents have been torchbearers, some are participating in opening, closing and medal ceremonies. We have festivities here at home that could not happen without countless numbers of volunteers.
Local companies too, are providing a host of services to the Games such as security, garbage service, docking, signage, food and beverage, transportation and lodging.
