Keeping the funk alive

Editor,

Hi my name's Eric Armour. I recently read the article "Geeves At Your Service" in last Friday's Chief, and I wanted to take a second to say thank you for printing the story, and also to make a couple of corrections. Your article mentioned that the DSBIA installed the bike racks. This is true to some extent.

This project was a result of Trinity Romance Shop and its annual James Bondage fundraiser, which over the last few years has raised tens of thousands of dollars for our local women's shelter, partnered with SORCA to invest in trail construction, donated funds to Tsunami relief, and most recently invested in a dollar matching partnership with the DSBIA to create a public art project in the Downtown.

As the owner of Trinity Romance Shop I appreciate the personal mentions that the Chief laid out in the article, but quite honestly if I didn't have a vehicle like the Trinity Romance Shop storefront to work through, most likely a lot of these funds and community projects would never have been accomplished.

That said I would personally like to thank all of the great folks in our community that come out and support Trinity Romance Shop and the James Bondage Fundraiser year after year, together we're all doing our part in keeping the funk alive.

Eric Armour
