The new CN Roundhouse and Conference Centre at the West Coast Railway Heritage Park was the location for the annual B.C. Rail Pioneers picnic on Thursday, July 15 when 113 members and spouses were in attendance. The ribbon cutting of the Pacific Great Eastern #72 car was held following the luncheon at the Heritage Park on July 15. It was purchased by the West Coast Railway Association to go with the other ex-PGE equipment. It took a group of dedicated volunteers headed by Donna Fourchalk many many hours to refurbish this former troop car and it is a must see along with the Royal Hudson at the Conference Centre.
