Once upon a time, there was a beautiful village in Southern Colorado named Cuchara. Tourists and locals alike enjoyed the scenery, wildlife, hiking, cross-country skiing, etc.

A developer from Texas decided (without checking into local snowfall levels, climate, environmental concerns, etc.) to build a ski hill. Assurances were made about the "boon" to the local economy and the minimal impact on the environment. And, after all, Colorado really needed another ski resort!

Trees were bulldozed, buildings and lifts erected, streams diverted, and houses built. And, the resort went bankrupt. The developer was not concerned. After all, it was a tax write-off. Although Colorado has a law stating that the developers were to remove their buildings and equipment, they were from out-of-state and just didn't comply.

Now, the mountain has scarred ski runs, empty, rotting buildings, eroded sides and empty condos.

How do I know this story? I used to live there. I came to 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 to enjoy its' beauty and wildlife - not to provide another haven for developers.
