Did you go to the Duck Race on Sunday? You didn't? Well you missed a lot of fun - from the helicopter drop of the ducks in the river, to watching the guys from Howe Sound Marine Rescue Society, 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 Coast Guard Auxiliary in their emergency suits in the river to ensure those ducks got back into the race after being stuck along the side.
The demonstration by these volunteers on how the suits keep them afloat, the use of the kayaks and the general fun of the whole thing was great.
Thanks to my family for helping me over the rocks, and Sean for the portage so that I could take part in the event.
The guys and gals who volunteer not only their time but sometimes their lives to try and ensure us a safe and happy time on the water are to be congratulated on this event. It takes a ton of work and lots of hours from them.
Let's hope they have one again next year and maybe those of you who didn't get to see it or buy a ticket on the race will take part and we will have more fun.
