Ahh the taste of blackberry jam and fresh juicy plump berry is so tasteful with bannock, breakfast pancakes and such.
But my heart drops every time I see someone picking the succulent berry by the train tracks or the BC Hydro corridor, As you know they spray pesticides to keep the bushes from growing over the tracks or into the hydro lines.
So please watch where you're picking the juicy blackberry and do petition these businesses to stop spraying pesticides as they cause so much damage as a cause of cancer and other diseases by going into the Earth and water that we drink. Enjoy the blackberry season.
