Editor,
In response to your editorial claiming that the inaugural RBC GranFondo was a "stupendous imposition on the town's people," perhaps we should go back to being a one-industry company town.
Maybe the daily stench of a pulp mill, or the emissions from an aluminum smelter would be much less an imposition on 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 people than a one-day event promoting healthy and active lifestyles passing right through the Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada.
Like it or not, we have become a tourism town. It would be fitting to embrace events like the GranFondo rather than term it a "stupendous imposition."
Oh yeah, it was great to see Mayor Greg Gardner riding in the Pre-Fondo back in August and hear his great support of this amazing event.
