A 'cool' Relay for Life fundraiser

The Brackendale Babes Relay for Life team is holding a fundraiser tomorrow (Feb. 27) by inviting family and friends to the Garibaldi 5 Cinema at 40198 Glenalder Place to see the movie Cool Runnings at 10 a.m. The admission price is $5 each.

I've had a 15-year-old friend, Shanel Mack and her mum Sharon from Coquitlam sating with me these past two weeks as Shanel is a youth volunteer at the Whistler Olympic Park. Shanel catches the bus to Whistler bright and early each morning (like 5 or 6 a.m.) but she is full of excitement when she returns as she describes her day. So far she has many Olympic pins, a Russian cap and a scarf from a German visitor. The uniforms they wear are pretty neat too! Grandma Rose Mack also visited for a couple of days.
