PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE, Man. 鈥� Mounties in Portage la Prairie are investigating after a man was hit by a train and died.聽
RCMP say in a news release a train going westbound hit a pedestrian in the city west of Winnipeg.聽
The 43-year-old man who was from Portage la Prairie was sent to hospital where he later died.聽
Officers are working with Canadian Pacific Kansas City Ltd. on investigating what led to the collision.聽
RCMP have directed further questions relating to the collision to the railway company.聽
A representative for Canadian Pacific would not provide additional information saying in an email the company did not have anything to add.聽
