Construction has resumed on the new pedestrian bridge connecting SEAandSKY community to downtown, set for completion this fall.

Work has resumed on the footbridge.

Work has resumed on the construction of the pedestrian bridge over the Mamquam Blind Channel.

In-water work resumed on Aug. 20 on the footbridge connecting the SEAandSKY community to downtown via Victoria Street.

Offsite procurement and fabrication of the bridge parts have been ongoing, according to District of 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 spokesperson Rachel Boguski.

In-water construction was paused from February to August in accordance with the pre-established timing window specified by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) so as not to disturb marine life.

"DFO also specifies minimum distances from marine mammals within which in-water work can occur; this can result in intermittent construction pauses,"  Boguski said.

The bridge is set to be completed sometime this fall, .

In 2017, the District of 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 council approved SEAandSKY developers Bosa Properties Inc. and Kingswood Properties' to provide the bridge as an amenity contribution as it would "provide a benefit" to 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 residents.

Once completed, ownership and maintenance of the bridge will be turned over to the District of 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料.

The bridge is designed by Rafael Santa Ana Architecture Workshop. 

"It will also feature artwork by 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 Nation artists Carla Spence and Calvin Dawson.
