Marshall's Tina Turner tribute show set for Friday night

Luisa Marshall is planning to show 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 exactly what love's got to do with it on Friday (March 14).

The established performer will bring her Tina Turner tribute show to the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 Legion and she promises it will be simply the best entertainment in town.

"There will be lots of fun, singing, dancing, and of course a Legion Search for the Sexiest Man Alive to join me on stage," she said in an email. "I'll be celebrating the music and career of the legendary Queen of Rock 'n' Roll Tina Turner through her powerful hit songs. It's going to be a rocking night in 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料."

Marshall told The Chief that she's been on the stage ever since her days as a youngster in the Philippines. After she graduated university, she chose life on the stage instead of in an office and began performing six days a week. She later travelled across Asia and then her top 40 dance band was invited to perform in Canada in 1989. She fell in love with the country, she said.

"Being on stage is a blessing," she said. "The stage is my place to entertain and make people happy. Watching my audience smile, sing, and dance makes me so much more inspired me to keep doing what I'm doing."

Some of Marshall's career highlights include performing for the United Nations Peacekeeping Forces in war-torn Bosnia in 2004 and performing on the Oprah Winfrey show in Chicago in 2005. Marshall was also invited by producers of Oprah to perform her Tina Turner act at "Oprah's Biggest Show Ever" in Las Vegas in 2008.

More recently, Marshall was voted as one of the top 25 Canadian immigrants in 2013 for her career in entertainment and attended the 2014 Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, Calif. She said she's also proud that she helped raise thousands of dollars for Typhoon Haiyan victims at fundraisers this past November.

Marshall is also well known for her television program Simply the Best The Luisa Marshall Show, which is celebrated its fifth anniversary on the Shaw Multicultural channel. The show airs on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Turner isn't the only artist to whom Marshall pays tribute. She said she plans to perform songs from Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse, Shania Twain, Etta James and Donna Summer during the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 show.

Marshall is donating $1 for each ticket sold to the Legion PTSD Service Dogs program and she announced that the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 show is completely sold out. Her province-wide tour continues on Saturday (March 15) when she will perform in Pemberton.

The 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 show gets underway at the Legion at 7:30 p.m. For more information on Marshall, visit www.luisamarshall.com.
