Sea to Sky Singers to celebrate town鈥檚 unique history, surroundings

老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料鈥檚 Sea to Sky Singers will mark the 100th anniversary of 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料鈥檚 renaming next week with a selection of tunes that celebrates the beauty and majesty of the community and its surroundings.

On May 3 and 4, the local adult choral group is presenting 鈥淢y 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 Home,鈥 featuring music by B.C.-based composers including 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料鈥檚 own Joanna Schwarz.

鈥淭his concert highlights the beauty and history of our own little piece of paradise,鈥 organizers said in a statement. 鈥淢ountains and miners, forest and loggers (and everything in between) have shaped the people of this unique place.鈥

Other B.C.-based composers whose music is to be featured include Stephen Chatman, Larry Nickel and Dave Baker. The performances, led by Sea to Sky Singers music director Veronica McPhee and assistant director Aaron Purdie and featuring accompanist Colleen Koop, take place Saturday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 4, at 2 p.m. at St. John the Divine Anglican Church, 1930 Diamond Road.
