Jaxon's work on display

'Go with the Flow' up at Adventure Centre through March 10

On New Year's Day 2014, Toby Jaxon made a secret resolution that she would complete 52 paintings in 2014 - one per week.

Six weeks into the year, she has completed six paintings. Her passion is and always has been painting. However, sometimes life just gets in the way, so Jaxon's pledge to create is meant to keep her on task.

She has recently been researching and experimenting with ways to develop a new painting technique that could evolve from her typical detailed style while still achieving a more expressive, animated process and accelerated production. The outcome is the release of her new series "Go with the Flow" - adjacent progressions of poured liquid acrylics in vibrant colour that she allows to flood over the deep canvas edge. The resulting landscapes and florals are graphic and playful.

To view six of Toby Jaxon's new paintings, check out the exhibition at the Visuals display at the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 Adventure Centre from Feb. 11 to March 10. Also exhibiting are Frances Solar (award-winning metal weaver) and photographer Garry Broeckling.
