Dancing Bear is back

Quest student-run music festival ready to party

Quest University is inviting anyone and everyone to come boogie at the school for the fourth annual Dancing Bear Music Festival next week.

The student-run festival takes place on Saturday (April 7) and features the first-ever appearance by an international artist at the event when Seattle hip-hop artist Sol hits the stage.

"Each year we put together a diverse line-up in hopes of attracting all types of students, families and people of all types from across the Sea to Sky Corridor and the Lower Mainland," said Lauren Head, member of the organizing committee. "Our goal is to put on a fun show that celebrates great music and highlights the beauty of our campus and surroundings."

Other notable artists performing at this year's festival include the Smalltown DJs, Caleb Tomlinson and James Lamb. Quest's all-student band Fogon will also return to the stage.

Doors open at 3:30 p.m. with the first artists performing at 4 p.m. There will also be a beer garden and catering supplied by Black Catz Catering.

Advance tickets for $15 are available at Quest reception, Zephyr Caf茅, Onatah or online at www.dancingbearmusicfestival.com. Tickets at the gate will set you back $20 with children under five receiving free admission.
