This event is a chance to celebrate that spirit of giving and to learn about the many opportunities to volunteer locally. 

The seventh annual 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料’s Volunteer Celebration is on Friday, April 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Junction Park and O’Siyam Pavilion. 

Five local nonprofits and their volunteers — 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 Helping Hands Society, 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 Food Bank, 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 Welcome Centre, Sea to Sky Hospice Society, and Our 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 — have come together on behalf of the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 Nonprofit Network to organize and host the free, family-friendly celebration.

Local nonprofits, community groups, and service organizations will set up tables and activities “to celebrate all of the volunteers in the community and bring awareness to volunteer culture in 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料,” reads a news release about the event. 

“This is an opportunity for organizations to show their appreciation for their volunteers and share about the work they are doing in the community.” 

There will be food, music, and prizes.

“Come enjoy food from Peak Provisions and Our老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 and performances by the students of Cam Salay’s Brackendale School of Fun Arts.”

The event is made possible by a Community Enhancement Grant from the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料 Community Foundation.

老澳门六合彩开奖记录资料's celebration is part of a nationwide celebration of volunteers facilitated by Volunteer Canada, National Volunteer Week, which runs from April 16 to 22. 

This year, the National Volunteer Week theme is “Volunteering weaves us together.”
