ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼×ÊÁÏ represents at the 2023 UBC Physics Olympics

ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼×ÊÁÏ was well represented at the recent  2, held on the university campus last Saturday. 

Howe Sound Secondary, represented by science teacher Adam Quiring and his students, was one of 65 schools at the annual event that sees more than 600 students compete.

The ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼×ÊÁÏ students competed in six different events on March 4.

They came in 4th in the Vacuum Pump event.

Standings in the other events haven’t been released yet.

This was the 45th annual event put on by UBC students and professors in the departments of physics and astronomy, and curriculum and pedagogy.

This was the first time since 2019 the event was held in person. 

Teams attended from schools all over B.C.
