LOS ANGELES (AP) 鈥� Matthew McConaughey, Mila Kunis, Jennifer Hudson and 鈥淎bbott Elementary鈥� creator and star Quinta Brunson have been named People magazine鈥檚
The magazine unveiled its annual list Wednesday, with Editor in Chief Wendy Naugle explaining this year鈥檚 honorees were selected because of their efforts to help others.
McConaughey was chosen for his rocked his hometown. Kunis was lauded for her , where she was born.
Hudson and Brunson were honored for their onscreen work. Hudson, who this year, was cited for her efforts to create an inclusive show where everyone felt welcome. Brunson鈥檚 鈥淎bbott Elementary,鈥� a critical hit that was praised as a show that brought many joy and showed that different generations can work well together.
Each of the honorees are featured on a special cover that highlights their contributions. Kunis鈥� includes the quote, 鈥淚鈥檓 proud to be from Ukraine,鈥� while Brunson includes her statement: 鈥淚鈥檓 a sign that times are changing.鈥�
McConaughey鈥檚 proclaims, 鈥淲e have to do better for our kids,鈥� while Hudson鈥檚 says, 鈥淚鈥檓 living my dream 鈥� and learning as I go.鈥�
Previous People honorees have included George Clooney, Regina King, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Sandra Oh, Selena Gomez and Simone Biles. This year鈥檚 special editions will be released Friday.
