NEW YORK (AP) 鈥� Fiction by Elizabeth Acevedo, Nancy Horan and Abraham Verghese, and a new biography of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. are among dozens of upcoming works excerpted in a free e-book compilation.
鈥淏uzz Books 2023: Spring/Summer" was released Tuesday by the industry newsletter Publishers Lunch. It includes passages from Acevedo's debut novel for adults, 鈥滷amily Lore"; Horan's 鈥淭he House of Lincoln," the latest historical novel from the author of the bestselling 鈥淟oving Frank鈥�; and Verghese's 鈥淭he Covenant of Water,鈥� his first novel since his million seller from 2009, 鈥淐utting for Stone.鈥�
鈥淏uzz Books鈥� also features Jonathan Eig's biography 鈥淜ing: A Life,鈥� H茅ctor Tobar's memoir 鈥淥ur Migrant Souls,鈥� and Ned Blackhawk's 鈥淭he Rediscovery of America: Native Peoples and the Unmaking of U.S. History.鈥�
